2006 National Specialty Show
May 1 - 4, 2006

Each AKC breed has a parent club which is responsible for the written standard by which the breed is judged, as well as sponsoring National Specialty Shows.   Our specialty was held this year in Philadelphia, PA.  The Silky Terrier Club of America sponsored a very memorable and exciting four day event beginning on Monday with the Agility competition.  Conformation classes began Tuesday with Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes during the day then the Top 20 Competition in the evening.  Junior Showmanship and Bitch Classes were on Wednesday then Dog classes and Best of Breed on Thursday.  It was a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, get together with old friends, learn more about our breed and share our passion for this wonderful toy terrier.
